The only way our hero can escape is to fulfill the Sisyphean task that has been imposed on him. 　　A Stretch of Time is a new chapter in Ali Eslami’s ongoing project False Mirror, an artistic exploration of post-human life in digital spaces. The Iranian-born, Amsterdam-based artist won the IDFA DocLab Award for Best Immersive Non-Fiction in 2016 for his VR project DeathTolls Experience. 　　For this “flattie” film production, he used the virtual world of False Mirror as a film studio. The result is an intriguing blend of the languages of cinema, video games and virtual reality. It is as artificial as it is tangible, both real and unreal—a document from a world that exists only digitally.

本片为中国传媒大学艺术学部动画与数字艺术学院13级学生毕业作品。

2006年，一副女性骷髅在伦敦Wood Green购物中心上层的公寓中被发现。当公寓的业主破门而入的时候，发现电视机、暖气和房间的灯都开着；而逝去的女性，Joyce Carol Vincent，已经死了三年了。这部电影主要是探寻Joyce是谁，她过着怎样的生活，怎么会如此的被这个世界遗忘。导演通过对Joyce生前所认识的人物的采访，来还原Joyce是一位吸引人、受朋友们欢迎的女性，同时她又有神秘且不为人知的一面。
